New residents from De Bilt

A joyful and emotional event took place today. 160 ELDERLY PICTURES found their way to the "The Elderly Picture House." They come from Jacqueline's family. For years, they gratefully served their musical purpose there and made many a foot sway.

Together we walked them to the car. Many tears were shed, and memories flashed before our eyes. Even though Jacqueline knows it's for the best, it hurts to say goodbye.

But wait, we don't know goodbye. No, certainly not. We know "PARENT'S EVENING." So, Jacqueline and I set a date for it at the Senior Citizen's Pictures House. As we got in, Jacqueline exclaimed, her voice tingling, "There might still be a few Senior Citizen's Pictures hiding in the attic. I'll take them with me." As I drove away, I looked in my rearview mirror and saw Jacqueline's daughter, Eefke, sobbing as she escorted her mother inside. My heart broke at the sight, but it's for the good of the Senior Citizen's Pictures House.

On the way, there was a squabble of nuts flying wildly through the car. The tension was palpable. Yes, moving at this age is no small feat. No matter what I said, I couldn't bring myself to restore the peace. Upon arrival at the Elderly Pictures House, the emergency services were already waiting to greet the new residents. Meanwhile, peace has returned to the house. The Elderly Pictures have been dusted off, washed and dried with a washcloth from outside. That did them good. The big wash is still to come.

With the setting sun shining through the window, the Elderly Pictures fall into a deep sleep. I'm still going to do the paperwork and book everyone in at THE ELDERLY PICTURES HOUSE.
