This Belgian LP features some of Astrud Gilberto's best early recordings. The cool-toned bossa nova singer is at her best on “One Note Samba,” “Meditation,” “Call Me,” “Agua De Beber,” “How Insensitive” and “It Might As Well Be Spring.”
The notes, which summarize its importance well, give the exact recording dates and personnel. Listeners who come across this attractive album would do well to pick it up anyway, because it is an excellent album.
